Whether you’re new to boating or a seasoned boater, the Winthrop Harbor Yacht Club is for you! Our vibrant organization is for Power, Sail, and Performance enthusiasts with educational classes, theme parties, organized cruises and social activities throughout the year for members of all ages. Open 365 days a year for our members, the Winthrop Harbor Yacht Club is the perfect complement to your North Point Marina boating experience. Feature Events Join us for happy hour and stay all evening for a casual night at our Canoe Bar. Get to know your WHYC family. The Canoe Bar is open on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the season and just about any other excuse we can come up with! It’s our favorite gathering place; come see why we love it on Saturday, May 11. Bring a friend! Join us for the two-day event on May 17th and 18th that will earn your Illinois Boating Safety Education Certificate and get you ready for your 2024 boating adventures! This free education event will require registration and $25 if you wish to join us for lunch on Saturday. Meet your fellow boaters, share your experiences, and take home a certificate that may help reduce your insurance. Our education programs are a highlight of our WHYC experience that includes a variety of topics like boat maintenance, astronomy , knot tying, wine tasting and boating safety. We’re anxious to see our summer neighbors and embrace our new members during this membership drive weekend.
